Helping Students who Learn Differently Find Their Path
At BES, we specialize in assisting students with a variety of learning challenges to discover their best path. We understand the needs of those who learn differently and the necessary supports that contribute to their success. Our passion is helping students find learning environments where they can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally, whether that path leads to college, a gap year, or a post-secondary program.
Supporting Unique Learners
We believe that learning differently is not a barrier to success. Our experienced consultants are dedicated to helping students realize their potential. They bring a wealth of personal and professional experience to their clients and easily connect with their students. By embracing the whole child, BES consultants provide recommendations that reflect not only a student’s needs but also their dreams. BES has a vast amount of experience working with students who have any type of neurodiversity, including ASD, ADHD, dyslexia, and other learning differences, and who may also have depression and anxiety.
Learn Differently ~ Achieve More
At BES, we recognize that not every student is ready for college right after high school. That’s why we provide personalized support for those who could benefit from a transition year or two. Our mission is to connect students with programs that develop essential life and social skills for a successful college experience—or prepare them for a fulfilling adult life if college isn’t part of their plan.

Our Early Start program encourages growth in non-academic areas as well as working toward a student's potential.
In junior year, we begin the college planning and exploration process, helping students discover colleges that are a good fit, where they can not only succeed, but thrive. For students who are looking to transfer from community college or who find they are in the wrong college, we're here to help as well. Read More

Post-Secondary Program Placement
The traditional 4-year college is not the best fit for every student. Some of our students benefit from a more supportive environment where the focus is on social support and independent living skills. Some of these programs include college courses, while others focus on career and technical education. We assist families in finding appropriate placements where the student can develop into a capable, resilient young adult, living as independently as they are able. There are many programs throughout the United States that serve a wide range of students’ needs. Our BES consultants will:
- Identify appropriate programs
- Facilitate visits and communication with the programs we believe are a good fit
- Assist in handling the paperwork and documentation that needs to be submitted
- Stay in contact with the program staff during the student’s time there
Get started on the path to independence.

Judy and her team helped my son navigate the college search process, write outstanding essays, and ultimately select the best-fit college for him. The work she did with my son took much of the stress out of the process for us.

Judy Bass led two of my children through their college application process. She made it so easy and stress-free! Judy zeroed in on colleges we otherwise would not have considered but ended up being fantastic choices for my kids. Judy also was so knowledgeable about financial aid and merit money, her services ended up paying for themselves! Highly recommend!
