Academic & Executive Function Coach
Brad has over 20 years experience in independent school education as a counselor, administrator, and teacher. In addition to working in schools, Brad also has his clinical counseling license and works with adolescents and adults to support their social-emotional needs. Brad brings his expertise and experience to BES to support students in both academic coaching and college placement. He uses a strengths-based and student-centered approach to help students develop their executive functioning and study skills. Brad also seeks to develop students’ self-awareness and sense of agency through academic coaching and college placement. Brad believes that building strong relationships with his students and their families is an integral part of the process.
Being dyslexic himself, Brad understands the hard work, patience, and extra attention it takes to be successful in school. He earned a B.S. in Environmental Studies from Bucknell University and a M.S. in School Counseling from Johns Hopkins University. Brad lives in Howard County with his wife and daughter. He enjoys outdoor activities and cooking. Additionally, Brad serves on the Board of Directors for the Howard County Autism Society.
